Spring Gardens Pavillions
In 2007 we were asked by the client to investigate the possibility of introducing a series of pavilions into the garden that the hostel building surrounds.
It was proposed that two new garden pavilions are constructed nestled in amongst the trees of the newly landscaped garden of Spring Gardens (Ennersdale Road)
The workshop pavilion is a flat roof wrapping in an out of new and existing trees to provide covered workshop areas and two new glass workshop spaces with spectacular views into the garden beyond.
The multi-use pavilion comprises a blobby tree house meeting space raised on stilts into the canopy of surrounding trees and a multi-use space with a fully glazed walk-on roof sunk into the landscape.
Together, the two pavilions provide inspiring and uplifting accommodation designed to promote the development and personal progress of residents through the project.
