Grahame Park

Peter Barber Architects are working alongside Jestico + Whiles and Studio 54 Architecture on the regeneration of the Grahame Park Estate in north London.

The scheme provides 450 new homes together with new community facilities, retail and public realm improvements.

Peter Barber architects are leading the design of the A6 building, imagined as a collection of mansion blocks rather than as a singular linear block. Six maisonettes are located on the first floor between two taller wings; forming a communal enclosure to private roof terraces. A combination of brick balconies, inset and roof terraces will provide excellent external amenity to each of the flats.

The identity of the building is characterised by an informally arranged brick facade which is designed to provide a sense of visual richness. Ground floor retail is to be glazed onto the Square and set back behind a line of distinctive, tapered columns.
